Twenty-two years of marketing leadership spanning professional sports, agency work, and executive in-house roles across PE-backed, multi-brand, multi-market home services and home improvement franchise businesses.
Most recently VP of Marketing at Artisan Family of Brands, a PE-backed portfolio of six home services brands across twelve markets. Scaled the portfolio from one to six brands. Increased marketing's contribution to total company revenue from 40% to 47%. Integrated four post-acquisition marketing operations with measurable lift in every market — including +96% leads and +124% appointments in Chattanooga. Built a custom AI-assisted reporting dashboard that consolidated three separate CRM platforms into a unified lead table, automating KPI reporting and generating executive summaries that became the basis for board-level performance reviews.
Before that, Head of Marketing at ShelfGenie / Neighborly, directing $18M+ in national marketing investment across a 140+ location franchise system in the U.S. and Canada. Led marketing through ShelfGenie's acquisition by Neighborly and the full post-acquisition integration.
Earlier: VP of Brand Strategy at Echo Media Agency, leading client strategy and performance marketing for Kohler's Walk-In Bath & Shower division; consolidating 20+ third-party lead gen vendors into a materially improved ROI on Kohler's investment. Founded Battleborn Creative in 2017. Spent 13 years leading digital, media, and operations for the Atlanta Gladiators before all of that.
What This Practice Is
Modern marketing leadership with candid AI guidance.
The work is system design: how channels connect, how performance gets measured even when the data is messy, and how marketing ties directly to revenue in a way leadership can actually see and trust.
AI is treated as a practical tool for efficiency and insight, not a novelty. The guiding principle: the goal is not to be the company using the most AI. It is to be the company using the right AI.
Battleborn doesn't perform expertise. It delivers it.
